The top national finalist will be invited to the Leadership Weekend, hosted in Chicago, IL. It is expected that the Elks National Foundation will award 500 of the most prestigious four-year scholarships to the most highly-rated students during the contest.
Each award is designed to provide a substantial amount of the cost of education such as tuition and living expenses, textbooks, and fees that are required. The number of awards awarded will vary for each individual depending on the price of tuition and other grants or scholarships that he or she might receive.

Every year 500 scholarships are handed to students across the nation with awards (over 4 years) ranging from $4,000 to $50,000. Elks National Foundation Scholarship Program offers the recipient:
- The Elks National Foundation will award 500 four-year scholarship scholarships to the top-rated students for the 2023 contest.
- From $1,000 from $1,000 to $12,500 per year. The most valuable Student scholarships are awarded to students who plan to pursue a four-year degree in full-time mode (minimum twelve semester hours) at a U.S. university or college. The scholarships are awarded presented as awards that are contingent upon the full-time participation of the awardee at the accredited U.S. university or college.
- The Chicago office of the Elks National Foundation will announce the 500 winners of the national competition in the latter part of April 2023. (Many local lodges districts, districts, and state Elks associations provide their own scholarships under this program. These scholarships should not confuse with the $500 Elks National Foundation Most Valuable Student Scholarships.)
